Introducing the Band Joyride!

As a trio or 5-piece band, Joyride performs a wide variety of Americana music

encompassing folk, jazz, blues, and rock and reggae.

Joyride is the perfect band for wineries, small to medium size clubs,

and is also ideal for parties, receptions, and corporate events.

The band consists of accomplished musicians who each have decades of musical experience

before coming together in this musical collaboration.

Robin Rogers, guitar and vocals:

Robin grew up singing folk music and accompanying himself on acoustic guitar. As his musicianship developed, Robin began playing more styles of music and gained experience in a variety of rock and folk oriented bands. Eventually Robin brought together Sonoma County favorites, The Festival of Friends band who have been entertaining Northern California for over a decade. Robin also writes and records original songs.

Laura Condylis, percussion, vocals, and various instruments:

Laura has been a life-long musician, singer, and dancer, with a professional background as a music educator. She was an integral part of the highly regarded Northern California a cappella style group Vocal Color. She continues her work as a music educator by day and a singer/musician after hours with Joyride.

Larry Weissenborn, bass

Larry began playing electric bass in rock bands and eventually broadened his interest in other musical styles, taking up the string bass along the way. He has played in many Northern California bands including The Mighty Avalanche Choir and can often be found at music festivals playing with musicians of all styles jamming into the wee hours.

Chris Gouvea, Drum kit

Chris's love of playing drums inspired him to steal a snare drum from his father's work bench at age 6. Eventually adding high hat and ride. Then later a kick drum. Chris like many of his generation drew inspiration from figures like Ringo, Jim Capaldi, Charlie Watts, Mr. Baker and Dallas Taylor.

"The best drummer's play the song not over play the song". Chris cut his teeth in blues and rock outfits. He loves Americana and World music. With dynamics and sensitivity, Chris has contributed to more than 7 projects in over 45 years.
